This is a selection of key cities representing major or capital centres for respective countries. It is only the beginning of the effort to provide stable, accurate and accessible data for a wide range of African cities. Intermediate cities, those cities that are not capital cities or the largest cities in a country, will make a critical difference in the future of human well-being in Africa. CitiIQ begins by scoring these cities. This opens a path for the cities and communities to deepen their local autonomy through measurement of meaningful progress. The initial group of cities can be seen by signing in to the dashboard. Cities can be compared, examined at increasing levels of detail, and monitored for change over time. Each of these functions has great potential to foster meaningful, positive impact.
