114 specific city Indicators drive the Diagnostic Tool. The list of Indicators was developed to optimize comprehensiveness, credibility, accuracy, and likelihood of accessible data. The Indicators inform the 35 Considerations to varying degrees, with the network-like structure of the algorithm reflecting the complexity and interrelated nature of a city’s wellbeing.
The CitiIQ algorithm normalizes all of the scores on a common scale so that they can be readily compared. By scoring each Indicator, Consideration and Dimension out of 100, clients are provided with a comparable, holistic picture of a city’s strengths and weaknesses that can be compared to other cities around the world.
