Blyth Group Partners With Synergine Group

Blyth Group, a family office from Toronto, Canada issued the challenge for city measurement and the response came back from Synergine Group Limited, a wonderful group of city specialists from Auckland, New Zealand.

Among many other experiences over a 30 year period, Synergine was asked to oversee the process of rebuilding the New Zealand city of Christchurch after an earthquake caused extensive damage, requiring a rebuilding of its infrastructure.

Synergine is not content with simply rebuilding hard, economic infrastructures like roads and bridges, but instead believes strongly that economic, environmental and social infrastructures must be carefully woven together to attain a transformed city. That’s what they do for the cities they serve. And that’s the basis for their approach to city measurement.

So with mutual respect and admiration, the Blyth Group partnered with Synergine to create a global system of measurement for cities known as CitiIQ. They are working toward CitiIQ becoming the global standard of city measurement.
